Patak (engl. Brook) Restaurant in Kismaros, known for its excellent fish and game dishes as well as its cosy wine tasting dinners, received a total makeover in 2016.
In the Danube-bank restaurant, owner and interior decorator Enikő Demeter opted to incorporate a variety of Slate Design stone veneer tiles into the decor. In search of perfection itself, no time was spared on selecting each and every sheet individually from our stock.
The great central hall is clad in Silver Shine Gold veneer, while the small room received a Burning Forest finish and both are composed of ultra-thin mica slate tiles – over rather prominent surfaces. The counter also features Burning Forest stone veneer tiles, but this time in their Translucent variant. Although this was not included in the initial plans, the corridor walls by the restrooms also ended up being covered in Slate Design stone veneer tiles, in their Copper New incarnation in particular.
What with this being a communal space, proper treatment of the stone surfaces was of the utmost importance. In the present instance, SD Stain Repellent Nano Effect impregnating agent was applied, as it meets food safety standards, while also being resistant to greasy / oily pollutants.
