Based on the plans of the designers Anita Darida-Sárközi and Zsuzsanna Dudás, the new 44-room alpine hotel, refurbished in 2014, received a vibrant new look that augmented its traditional character well on all 5 floors. In the short period of refurbishment, the entire ground floor and the cellar were renovated: the reception area, the lobby, the restaurants and bar, the swimming pool, the spa area, the children’s playroom, the fitness room and the Xbox Room. In the ground-floor community halls, SLATE DESIGN stone veneers were used to cover almost 80 m2 of wall surface, of which the extremely flexible EcoStone version was applied on the columns, while its special fireproof version made an elegant and natural finish on the fireplace. The Silver Shine Gold LiteStone tiles selected by designers cover the walls of the main entrance, the lobby and the bar, as well as the reception desk counter, and the two columns on it. In the bar, the stone veneer – a complete novelty – is particularly impressive, as besides the bar counter itself, it was also used on the walls and the ceiling, forming a continuous surface. The well-chosen LED lights used in many places further emphasise the stunning, glossy, patterned finish of the natural clay slate. The SDA Nano Effect impregnating agent used to protect the stone veneers is also effective against fingerprints.
