The spectacular, enormous, translucent veneer tiles from Slate Design were introduced to the newest hotel in one of the country’s most popular spa resorts in the spring of 2017. Only 100 meters from the Thermal Baths, the 4-star Superior Bonvital Wellness & Gastro Hotel Hévíz offers 80 well-appointed rooms, 10 exclusive suites, a spectacular wellness area and a restaurant offering a top-notch culinary experience.
Each nook and cranny of the hotel attests to a high degree of professionalism in material selection and design as it was constructed according to Katalin Szigethy’s instructions who has a substantial body of experience in hotel renovation.
The exclusive milieu, infused with modern design, offers an over 500 m2 wellness area complete with a huge adventure bath, Jacuzzi, several saunas, salt rooms and unparalleled views for those wishing to unwind. The light-permeable Translucent ultra-thin slate veneer tiles feature prominently in several areas of the wellness area. On the entrance corridor wall and at the reception desk, the highly-popular Indian Autumn Translucent veneer tiles were laminated onto glass sheet with LED backlighting under Norbert Bevíz master carpenter’s direction. To augment the rejuvenation of body and soul in the tepidarium, the extremely popular Sahara White structure stone veneer tiles cover the walls and the ceiling.
The ultra-thin stone veneer tiles, normally available in 1220 × 610 mm standard size, have been used in unique, grand proportions for the Hévíz project. In some places, a 2650 × 1400 mm single-piece sheet provides a unique look.
